End of a crusade

News of the Vaygr defeat spread fast across what had previously been the galactic council and it’s many races. The Hiigarans had, against all odds, beaten Makaan’s and his many crusaders. Without his hand to guide all the different clans, infighting soon resumed and a great retreat from the coreworlds started, every splinter group for itself.

As various fleets and remnants of battlegroups trek back to Vaygr reaches, a triumphant Hiigaraa celebrates its new age.

As good as all may be, the battered and war torn remnants of what used to be the various council races militaries still have to content with the now aimless Vaygr forces on their retreat. Makaan might have been defeated but it would still take time for peace to return. A frigate of what remains of the Frerrn Aggregate’s navy monitors a small battered Vaygr group passing through a megalith on its journey to the hinterlands.
